Dear Sir, Sydnor Hanks may be the son of Joseph Ewell Hanks He married Judith P. Downman on 06 Feb 1834. She was daughter of William Downman and Frances "Fanny" Flora Sydnor. Frances was b. 1781 Richmond County, Va., and d. bef. 1836. She was daughter of 2nd Lieut. Epaphroditus Sydnor and Mildred "Milly" Ball. I hope this helps
