Jennie Rios Baca, a tireless Latino activist who launched efforts to improve opportunities for children during the 1960s Chicano movement in Sacramento, died Saturday.
    She was 71.

Helping one of her great grand daughters with a school project... I wonder if she is related....???

  3. I don't know. That's a good question. I believe that most Hispanic Baca families in the United States have roots from New Mexico. However, there is no way to know just from this obituary. Thank you for sharing. I will add it to my database in case I can use it later.

  4. It does look like her last name is her married name. Her maiden name appears to be Rios, as is evidenced in the names of her siblings. It would be interesting to find out where her husband was from.
